What I Love: Athleisure Wear

Ideas and inspo for when you need to go from Pilates to brunch.

I'm a big fan of a good 'how take an outfit from day-to-night' tutorial. I appreciate an easy 'you can shorten it and wear it again!!' hack. So, naturally, I love finding new ways to take my Pilates outfits out on the town after a good workout session with some simple styling and layers. Here are some of my favorite ways to combine pieces from your closet with your active wear so the transition from planks to pancakes is as easy as ordering the mimosa flight for you and four of your closest brunch pals.

Outfit #1

This weather appropriate fit gives off "running expensive errands in Aspen" vibes, while being one of the most affordable options of the bunch. This is one of the few pops of color I allow into my normally neutral wardrobe with this lime green set that goes for $34.99 on Amazon. Paired with a good puffer jacket that doesn't take away from the aesthetic, you can run any errand under the sun (or snow). This black one from Shein blew my mind being $32.00. I think the whole outfit looks great with Doc style boots. These fun forest green look-a-likes from Lulu's won't break the bank at $38, on sale right now for $19!!!!

Outfit #2

I love this workout style when I want to stay on the health and wellness train after my Pilates class by taking it to the hiking/biking/walking trails, making a day out of it that could also include a fun coffee shop, a long dog walk, or a causal dinner spot to reward myself after a day of working on my fitness. You can find this entire outfit at Free People, the leggings specifically retail for $78, and you can throw on any old tee or boyfriend tank over it with a little tied up corner for cutesies. I like these look-a-like boots from Free People that are on sale right now for $79.95, usually $110!

Outfit #3

This is my my most frequently worn outfit when I need to go from Pilates instructor to girl-about-town. This super affordable set from Amazon is only $29.99, and all I do is throw a nice jean jacket like this cute one from Old Navy over top with some high socks, white tennis shoes like these $100 Nike's, and if it was a particularly sweaty session, an aesthetically colored Adidas hat that you can find on sale right now for $21.

Outfit #4

If you're looking for a more cozy vibe that could still totally get you into the grocery store or a meet-up with friends for scones and hot chocolate, this is your vibe. I have a set similar to this from Amazon, and all you have to do is throw on your favorite chunky sweater, maybe some gold jewelry, and these Ugg dupes that I found for $55 from Lit Activewear.

Outfit #5

If you sense the theme, this beautiful brick red set is from Amazon again *hello affordable* and all I do is pair it with a flowy button down shirt, like this one from Target, for a casual spring or summer vibe. Complete it with some high socks, Chuck Taylors, and a good slick ponytail and you're ready to go.

Outfit #6

Lastly, this brown set is the exact same one from Outfit #2, all from Free People, with the top specifically going for $30.00. Pair this with some chunky socks and great hiking boots. These might be a bit of a splurge at $230 but they are great quality, last a long time, and really tie this whole look together.

I'd love love LOVE to hear about your favorite brands and styles of athleisurewear, and how you style your workout outfits to wear them out afterwards. You're amazing. :)

xoxo,

Trishae
